If you're looking for a low maintenance lawn, you're looking for TifBlair Centipede Ecograss.

We are the sole growers of TifBlair Centipede grass seed; when you order from us, you're ordering seed directly from our family farm!

In Zones 8 and lower (i.e. colder), it's too late in the season to have success planting TifBlair Centipede seeds. Wait to plant until spring, after danger of last spring frost.

It is best to purchase fresh seed closer to planting time to get the best germination rate.

About TifBlair® Centipede Grass from Super-Sod

TifBlair Centipede Grass Seed for SaleTifBlair is a warm season turfgrass that grows well on poor soils with little maintenance and is therefore fondly referred to as the “lazy man’s grass.” Leaf blades are medium-textured and medium green in color. TifBlair was singled out because it stays greener longer in the fall and greens up earlier in the spring than common Centipede and because of improved cold tolerance and seedling vigor. Centipede is easily controlled and usually requires edging only once a year around walks and flowerbeds. It is the most environmentally-friendly, warm-season lawn with the lowest maintenance requirements of all the quality southern lawn turfgrasses.

TifBlair is widely used in large and small landscapes, along roadsides, and in public and private parks throughout the South where maintenance budgets are small and turfgrass expectations high. As a non-attractant for Canada Geese and deer TifBlair is, for safety reasons, well-suited for use around airports and highways. Read more spec details in our TifBlair Tech Sheet (pdf).

Our centipede grass seed is for sale from our local Super-Sod stores or order online.
